The Vegan Culinary Academy offers unique, online, plant-based culinary courses. Our goal is to go beyond expectations in delivering quality culinary training at home.In these self-directed, plant-based courses, we utilize eBooks, hard-copy texts, DVDs, customized demonstrations, and online resources to instruct students in private kitchens
Vegan Cuisine for the Commercial Kitchen, is an eighteen-lesson, professional course benefiting chefs, cooks, dietitians, wellness coaches, and cooking class instructors. The course is segmented into three modules containing six lessons each. Modules are paid for separately. Upon the completion, of each a certificate recognized by the American Culinary Federation for 24 CEHs (continuing education hours), is awarded.
This program is approved for up to 72 continuing education hours toward the initial or recertification application for ACF certification. Note: These programs are not endorsed, accredited, or affiliated with ACF or the ACF Certification Program.
The three modules are: 1) Fundamental Culinary Skills from a Vegan Perspective, 2) Flavors, Seasonings, and Small Bites, and 3) Whole Grains: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Dessert. Each completion certificate will note that it represents 24 CEHs awarded the recipient, and recognized as such by the ACF.
Also included within this commercial course is managerial instruction for gaining certification as a Certified Professional Food Manager—generally known as a CPFM certificate, and awarded by the Prometric testing company, one of two Food Safety certification entities recognized throughout the United States and other countries around the world.
